• Diolaze Laser Hair Removal (LHR)

  What is Diolaze? Diolaze is the ultimate laser hair removal treatment that utilizes a cooling panel for optimal comfort. What do I need to know before my treatment? Depending on the area being treated, avoid lotions or deodorants for 24 hours. Shave the treatment area 24-48 hours prior to your appointment. Shaving the day of treatment will increase discomfort and not shaving will disrupt the laser's ability to stimulate the hair follicle, minimizing efficacy of treatment. Does it hurt? While some areas are more sensitive than others, most patients find the treatment to be comfortable. The applicator has a cooling feature that continuously runs during treatment. What is the downtime While there technically is no down time, we do advise that you keep treatment areas out of the sun throughout the series. Heat should be avoided including saunas and hot tubs. Tight clothing on treatment area should also be avoided after treatment. When will I see results Because hair follicles are in different phases at different times it will take several treatments before results are noticeable. Possible side effects Mild redness to the treatment area Red bumps (follicular edema) Pimples (folliculitis) not common Pricing Tips for best results Avoid sun exposure Avoid sun exposure for 30 days prior to treatment and during your treatment series as this increases your risk of burns and hyperpigmentation. Always wear sunscreen, we recommend a minimum SPF 50 with zinc. If you have sun exposure to close to your appointment or have a tan, your treatment will be rescheduled. Be consistent with treatments Treatments are scheduled a set number of weeks apart to align with the growth cycles of the hair follicle. Repetitive rescheduling or pushing out treatments could result in decreased results. Stop other hair removal DO NOT wax or use epilators 2 weeks prior or during your treatment series. These treatments damage the follicle. LHR will not be effective while the follicle heals.

  What is Morpheus8? Morpheus8 is a minimally invasive, handheld device that uses microneedling radio frequency to dramatically reducing the look of wrinkles, sagging, loose skin, and acne scarring, and improving the skin’s tone and overall texture. How does it work? Radio frequency energy creates heat; this heat stimulates the body to create new collagen. The microneedles penetrate up to 8mm into the skin’s surface (7mm depth plus 1mm in thermal penetration). Does it hurt? Although Morpheus8 uses needles, it's not usually painful. Any discomfort that is felt during the treatment is often very tolerable. Everyone's pain tolerance is different, our goal is to make the procedure as comfortable as possible for everyone. We apply topical numbing and allow adequate time for it to take effect. What can expect after? Downtime? You can expect to leave our office with what looks like a moderate sunburn. You can expect 1-3 days of redness, swelling, and possible itchiness. During the first few days, you should avoid sun exposure to the treated area. For the first 24 hours, we recommend nothing be applied to the skin except an Aquaphor-like ointment. When will I see results? It generally takes 3-6 weeks before you see any results from a Morpheus8 treatment. Your dermis needs time to heal following your treatment, and it is in this healing process that the magic happens; this is when collagen and elastin production takes place. It is also when the skin’s outer surface naturally sloughs away, giving you an opportunity to see the bright, fresh new cells below the surface. Results are cumulative however, so the more treatments you have, the better your results will be. Generally, you’ll see the final optimal results of your treatment plan about six weeks following your final treatment. What makes Morpheus8 different? Morpheus8 is adjustable and highly customizable. The device is able to reach deeper than other devices allowing for the added benefit of fat reduction. In addition to being highly customizable to each patient, Morpheus8 only delivers the radio frequency ones the needle tips have reached target depth. This means less damage to the above tissue layers resulting in less downtime for the patient. Finally, Morpheus8 has burst technology. Burst technology allows your provider to deliver radio frequency at multiple depths as the needles retract. This means a more effective treatment with less pokes. What are the benefits?   What is Lumecca? Lumecca is the most powerful intense pulsed light (IPL) laser on the market to treat pigmented and vascular lesions. It is often referred to as a Photofacial. How does it work? IPL laser uses photo-thermolysis through the delivery of specific wavelengths of light which interact with red and brown pigments in the skin. These pigments absorb the light and are destroyed, often in one session. What is the downtime? You will have a slight sunburn appearance for 24-48 hours along with coffee ground areas where sun spots were treated. Make up can be applied immediately after treatment Avoid sun exposure x 30 days post treatment series Apply sunscreen daily and reapply When will I see results? Sun damage and skin complexion results can be seen a few days after the first session. The skin will continue to look younger and more brilliant over time with most visible results after 1-2 weeks. Having multiple photofacial sessions will improve the final result. What makes Lumecca different? The number of treatments is less: 1-2 treatments compared to 6-8 with other IPL devices. A high pulse repetition rate and a larger area that can be treated at a time to reduce the treatment time for each session. The tip of the device is made of sapphire which causes a strong cooling sensation and gets rid of the need for topical numbing. There is no recovery time: the IPL does not cause peeling or redness following treatment. The only things that are required post-treatment is limiting sun exposure and wearing sunscreen for a couple of weeks following treatment.
